Defensive Driving Course Discount

You may be eligible for this discount if the principal operator of the vehicle is at least 55 years of age or if the principal operator has successfully completed a Motor Vehicle Accident Prevention course approved by the Secretary of State.

• The principal operator of the vehicle is at least 55 years of age.
• The principal operator has successfully completed a Motor Vehicle Accident Prevention course approved and certified by the Secretary of State to State Farm certifying the course was successfully completed within the three years prior to the inception or renewal of the current policy term.

Good Driving Discount

You may be eligible to receive this discount if each of the drivers in the household has had no moving violations and no at-fault accidents during the past three years. All driving history will be verified at the time an application is submitted for insurance.

Good Student Discount

All male and unmarried female drivers under 25 who are full-time students in high school or at a college or university, and the scholastic records for the immediately preceding school semester show that this student meets at least one of the following:

• Ranked scholastically in the upper 20% of his or her class.
• Had a grade average of B or higher.
• Had a grade point average of 3.0 (out of 4.0) or higher.
• Was included in the Dean's List or Honor Roll.

Persons under age 25 who have graduated from a four-year college or university and have a     cumulative scholastic record meeting the above requirements may also be considered.

Students who are enrolled in a home study program may qualify if they satisfy the scholastic     requirement by submitting evidence that they ranked in the upper 20% on one of the following     national standardized tests, administered within the last 12 months--PSAT, PLAN, SAT-1, ACT,     TAP, California Achievement Test. Proof of eligibility is required when an application for insurance is submitted.

Steer Clear® Safe Driver Discount

Steer Clear Safe Driver Discount - In order to initially qualify for this discount, the following requirements must be met:

1. All male and unmarried female drivers under 25 years of age who are assigned to the automobile must:
   • have no at-fault accidents or moving violations in the three year period prior to the time the discount is initially applied (Note - In some states certain accidents and moving violations may not disqualify you), and
   • have successfully completed the State Farm Steer Clear program, which needs to be administered by a State Farm agent. The program includes the driver watching a video presentation, reading a safe-driving magazine and completing a driver's log to document driving experiences.
2. All private passenger automobiles in the household must be insured with State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company or State Farm Fire And Casualty.
